Black Sea: Conflicting Ambitions and Power Projections

The Black Sea has stood as a pivotal geostrategic crossroad for centuries, serving as a bridge between Europe and Asia and attracting a variety of interests and power projections. Long-standing security concerns have gained heightened relevance since the onset of the war between Russia and Ukraine. This event aims to analyse the geopolitical, security and economic challenges confronting the Black Sea region today, considering its interconnection with the Aegean and Mediterranean seas, as well as its critical importance to a multitude of stakeholders.
